Am now reading my Christmas present from Colin called "The Looniness of the Long Distance Runner".
Am currently reading about the history of the marathon.
Fact 1
Did you know that the marathon was originally only meant to be 25 miles? But thanks to Queen Akexandra who wanted the race to start on her lawn at Windsor Castle and then finish under the royal box, an extra 1.2 miles was added.
The tradition is now apparently when you cross the 25 mile point you shout "God Save The Queen".
Well off to work soon to earn some double bubble to pay for new running shoes. Happy Christmas everyone!! xx
